DM2003 Project News

This page lists latest updates of downloads and online documentation and contains other important information regarding Data Master 2003 project. If you are still using earlier version of Data Master software (DM2000), here is a brief summary of changes and modifications. See also detailed history of builds of all DM2003 components.

Known Problems:

• If you use DM2003 build 275 or earlier, after installation of MSIE7 many DM2003 tools (e.g. fitters) may stop working. This is because for Internet Explorer 7 and later, object caching is enabled by default for all applications that host the WebBrowser Control. As a result, DM2003 cannot correctly compare object instances, and operations like
     Serie.XAxis=Serie.Document.Plot.XAxis2
  always failed. Workaround: manually disable FEATURE_OBJECT_CACHING for dm2003.exe as described in the abovementioned MSDN article or just update DM2003.
  
  
• Sometimes (very rarely) DM2003 displays 'Cannot hide MDI child window' error and crashes on exit. Workaround: just close all data windows before closing application.
